Recently, due to an 'Impossible Images' assessment task, I created a series of photo montage images depicting a theme.Working around the idea of isolation and disconnection, I composed these images using portraits and macro images of various objects. Completing this series taught me a great deal regarding the 'refine edge' tool, the pen tool as well as working with drop shadows.
Overall I surprised myself by actually enjoying the process of carefully cutting around edges in Photoshop, a process I had often dreaded in the past.
